Seven to the Sea combines the raw energy of a vocal-based pub band with the instrumental virtuosity of bluegrass and Celtic groups of the 60’s folk revival. While firmly rooted in best of what has gone before, Seven to the Sea brings a thoroughly modern sensibility to their interpretations of traditional music. Travis and Tom each have their own unique perspective, exploring influences that include roots music, Americana, and even stray elements of rock and pop song craft. In the band’s songwriting, the themes are both current and universal: good times, bad times, family, love, loss, and striving.
