THIS EVENT AT THE THEATRE IS SOLD OUT, BUT WE ENCOURAGE YOU JOIN US ON MAIN STREET AROUND 4:30 TO WATCH MAIN STREET IN ALL ITS GLORY!

For many locals, holiday months in downtown Franklin hold a certain kind of magic; from the two-day Dickens of a Christmas festival and town sings to the lighting of the towering tree on the Square, families are immersed in nostalgic moments that surround the season!

This year, the Downtown Franklin Association (DFA) is helping add another layer of festivity to Main Street… and inviting the public to take part in the first-ever “Franklin’s Merry Olde Christmas” celebration onMonday, Nov. 24, 2014, that will include a Main Street light reveal, a special Studio Tenn performance, live music and words from City of Franklin Mayor Ken Moore.

The program, present by Franklin Synergy Bank, will kick off at the Franklin Theatre beginning at 3 p.m. Guests will enjoy an abbreviated show coordinated by Studio Tenn Managing Director Jake Speck, and a musical act compliments of The Cains Trio.

When darkness falls around 4:30 that evening, participants will spill onto Main Street to view the lights and decorated holiday storefronts!

Plus: many of the businesses will also leave their doors open later for extended shopping hours following the reveal.

Over the past year, Travel + Leisure and its readers have listed Franklin on a host of popular lists, from “Best Place to View Fall Colors” to “Most Romantic Town.” On the heels of its 2013 recognition of “America’s Favorite Towns,” the historic downtown district was also ranked as the third-best area in the country to view Christmas lights.

Franklin’s Merry Olde Christmas performance at The Franklin Theatre is free and open to the public. However, interested individuals and families must contact Williams to reserve a seat at kwilliams@historicfranklin.com or by calling 615.591.8500, ext. 18.
