RETAIL STORE ASSOCIATE - FULL OR PART TIME

The retail store sales associate is a critical player on our growing team. Associates are the face of Hester & Cook and are the key to a positive customer experience. We have full and part time positions available. Both are during retail hours, and are for our Downtown Franklin location, as well as our White Bridge location. Weekend availability required.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Genuinely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Hester & Cook brand as well as etiquette of gift-giving and entertaining
  • Interested in trends as relevant to our store environment
  • A natural leader with personal accountability
  • Outgoing with a positive disposition and warm, engaging personality

    Qualifications:

  • At least one year experience in a retail sales environment
  • Strong verbal/written communication
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to add-on sales and make appropriate product suggestions
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Developed interpersonal relationship skills and professional yet warm demeanor
  • Visual merchandising skills a plus

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Helping customers with any needs
  • Engaging with customers, making them feel welcome, assisted, and appreciated
  • Processing sales transactions
  • Providing top notch customer service and increasing sales through directcustomer interaction
  • Providing gift wrapping services
  • Ensuring tidy and pleasing appearance of store and merchandise within
  • Perform opening/closing routines including counting till and receipt of shipments
  • Going above and beyond in providing a positive customer experience
  • Helping to coordinate and execute events to brand standards
  • Providing manager with updates as needed
  • Maintaining positive company culture
  • Embodying Hester & Cook’s core values in all interactions

Executive Assistant to CEO

 

Location: Franklin, TN

We are a small but mighty non-profit operating out of Franklin,TN, called Generous.Life.

The candidate should demonstrate a passion for breaking new ground to lead social change. Beyond that, we are seeking a candidate that has proven experience in providing thorough administrative support to an executive. To be successful in this role, you should be well-organized, resourceful, have great time-management skills, and be a self-starter. Ultimately, you will contribute significantly to the impact of our mission by providing personalized and dedicated support to the CEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact among leadership, the non-profit board, community members and partners
  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner
  • Calendar - Manage CEO busy calendar, set up meetings and track follow up (Google Calendar)
  • Make travel arrangements for the CEO - utilizing savvy digital tools and personal knowledge
  • Create and submit CEO expense reports (Expensify)
  • Format information for external communications – emails, presentations, reports using Powerpoint, Word, Canva, and/or Mailchimp
  • Daily and weekly data input into CRM (Copper).
  • Organizing weekly team meetings, and utilizing Slack for ongoing team support. 
  • Preparing Executive Board books quarterly, recording board meeting minutes, and assisting with board and committee needs.

Skills:

  • Work experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or similar role required
  • Excellent MS Office knowledge
  • Proficiency with Google workspace for calendars, email and travel.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Marked resourcefulness and flexibility
  • Prior knowledge of CRMs a plus
  • Prior experience working for or around start-ups or non-profits a plus
  • Mac proficiency a plus
  • Graphic design in Canva, Photoshop, InDesign a plus
  • Discretion and confidentiality a must

As they transform in community, they give more (experiencing more joy and impact) to thousands of organizations and ministries. To accomplish this, we produce many amazing Events, Expeditions and content around the US. The CEO needs a right hand assistant that can be resourceful, detail oriented, and enthusiastic taking on fluid administrative tasks.

As a prerequisite, the successful candidate must believe in the core values of Generous.Life (It is better to give than receive), and be driven by the mission - Awaken the hearts of those blessed with capacity to transform the way we give, and leading the next generation to give with purpose.

We do this by serving a community of philanthropists, unearthing more joy and strategy in their charitable giving. Since 2017, we have built a vibrant community serving over 1,000 high capacity leaders in their personal and collective generosity. We believe that we can ignite 5,000 leaders across 8-10 cities over the next 3 years. To serve this vision and the demand, we will launch and serve local generosity communities in markets around the US, accelerated by remote small group trips, and buttressed by a digital membership platform.
