Tony Steele is bringing back his 3rd Annual “Classic Car Day” to Classic Sports Barber Shop this Saturday, August 23! The speciality destination in downtown Franklin, which sits in a former garage on Fifth Avenue North tucked just behind Sweet CeCe’s, is inviting the public to take part in old-school festivities in its parking lot, from 9 a.m. ’til 5 p.m.

What started several years ago with a smattering of customers’ cars has turned into a full day of family-friendly entertainment: Tony says there will be complimentary BBQ (that’ll smell good on the street!) and door prizes–plus kids’ will receive gifts, such as school supplies and Hot Wheels toys. He says he expects more than 10 vintage vehicles, from a ’64 Impala to a ’75 Gran Torino, to be present at the event for the public to appreciate.

“I’ve always been into cars, and this is all about historic cars in a historic town,” Tony says. “I hope it turns into something bigger one day, and extends further into Main Street.”

For more information about the event, follow the barber shop’s Instagram account here. Car entry is free; if you are interested in showing, email Stephanie Steele here.
