Time to put the JOY back in holiday shopping, y’all!
Small Business Saturday (SBS) is a national effort to help independently owned merchants gain more exposure during one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year. Basically, it’s a day dedicated to supporting the people that make our country thrive. This year, the big event falls on Saturday, November 30.
Two days after Thanksgiving, many of our 150 shops and restaurants in Historic Downtown Franklin will be offering special sales and other promotions the day after “Black Friday”–additional encouragements for patrons to shop local! We’ll be gathering those offers and will be sure to let you know about ’em.
This year, merchants and downtown Franklin building owners are also banding together to add another layer of festivity to Main Street: Saturday night will unveil storefront stories lined with Christmas lights, candles and wreathes! So shop ’til ya drop, and don’t forget to stay as darkness falls to see the decorated strip. We think #AmericasFavoriteMainStreet™ will look like something from a story book once its lighted on Small Business Saturday!
We hope that we can help create a new tradition for families, a Christmas kick-off day in downtown Franklin that promotes relationships in a fun (not chaotic) environment!
