The G Burns Jug Band of San Diego, California is coming to Kimbro’s. Founded in 2012 by native Kentuckian Clinton Davis, the G Burns Jug Band has been building an enthusiastic following for down home roots music on the west coast. They received a San Diego music award in 2015 for their second album, “The Southern Pacific & The Santa Fe”. Local press has described them as one of the city’s best party bands, and sounding “like a freight train hauling ass down the track with some fiddlers and banjo pickers on board”. Renowned national roots publication No Depression calls them “a joyous and soulful restoration of American musical tradition”.
