Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, TN

The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County merged with the Downtown Franklin Association on November 25, 1998. Along with The Franklin Theatre and the recently acquired former campus of O’More College of Design, the DFA is a division of the Heritage Foundation. As a unified force, the Heritage Foundation and the DFA are better equipped to preserve Franklin’s rich past while ensuring an equally promising future.

As one of the nation’s most respected historic preservation societies, the Heritage Foundation works tirelessly to save the architectural and cultural resources that make Franklin and Williamson County unique. The Heritage Foundation works with area leaders to continually care for historic spaces, treasured landmarks and cherished local businesses. In short, they save the places that matter in Williamson County, Tennessee.

Saving The Franklin Theatre and the LeHew Magid Big House for Historic Preservation (the Old, Old Jail) are two of the Heritage Foundation’s signature preservation projects. In 2019 and beyond, the Foundation is embarking on the largest preservation project of its 52-year history, the former O’More College of Design property in downtown Franklin.
