May 21 is International Tennessee Whiskey Day — and Leiper’s Fork Distillery is making it worth the drive.

The family-owned distillery in Leiper’s Fork will mark the occasion with half-priced Tennessee whiskey pours all day, plus complimentary tours for guests with a Tennessee driver’s license. Tours run every hour on the hour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.

Founded in 2016, Leiper’s Fork Distillery was built to revive the lost art of small-batch Tennessee whiskey production. Every bottle is mashed, fermented, distilled, aged, and bottled onsite using pot still distillation, local grains, and traditional methods that put craftsmanship first.

Guests can tour the working stillhouse, follow the whiskey-making process from grain to glass, and finish with a guided tasting inside the property’s restored 200-year-old log cabin tasting room.

The celebration takes place at the distillery’s production location at 3381 Southall Rd, Franklin, TN 37064 — and if you haven’t already, be sure to visit their downtown presence as well. Leiper’s Fork House of Spirits, located right on Main Street at 334 Main St, Suite 104, is a fantastic neighbor to our Main Street community.

It’s a great way to celebrate a uniquely Tennessee tradition — right in our own backyard.
