IMG_1935-656x800-Copy-246x300Two decades ago the world was introduced to six “Friends” making a go of it in the city that would become one of TV’s most popular sitcoms ever.  That same year, a couple of real friends launched their own business in our city–Franklin TN–that has survived long past the show (20 years!)… and allowed locals and tourists alike to all bring home a piece of Tennessee.

Join us as we celebrate two decades of Heart and Hands in Historic Downtown Franklin in October 2014!

Owners Carol Bennington and Cindy Lane came up with the idea for a store that would allow creative Tennessee artists an outlet for their one-of-a-kind items.  Heart and Hands came from the concept that, “when we share with you what we make with our hands, we share our hearts.”

The shop, located at 342 Main Street, has had three locations over the last 20 years, but they’ve all been in the heart of historic downtown. There, you can find painted doors and shutters that are the backdrops to colorful pottery, jewelry, heirloom angels and Tennessee themed items.  Homemade soap and hand-poured candles accent the shop with the warm aroma of every season.  Jams, salsa, and honey bring a mouthwatering sensation to every visitor.

New artists ensure an ever changing selection; it’s a unique opportunity to get that one-of-a-kind item that will be treasured for a lifetime.  You will be personally assisted by one of the friendly artists as they gladly share the background information of individual artists and their work.

Heart and Hands would like to invite everyone to share in their 20 year celebration the whole month of October! They will have special sales, food win gift certificates even a Franklin themed gift basket. Plus, they are hosting a big Open House on Saturday, Oct. 18!  More information can be found on their Facebook page, HeartandHandsOnline.com or on Twitter @handmadeintn.

Open Monday through Saturday, 10-5–and until 8 most Friday nights during the holiday season; and Sunday, Noon to 5. Call 615-794-2537 for more information!
